Letterbox Love (34) A Rambling and Lengthy Catch-Up!

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

Wow, it has been almost a month since I last did one of these! I honestly don't know where that time has gone and why I'm only just getting around to posting a Letterbox Love now except that my weekends have been pretty busy lately and I'm trying to spend less money on books to save for Christmas. Yes I said the C word. Yes it's only October. You're going to have to deal with it because I am a huge fangirl for Christmas time! I started buying presents this week and the general anticipation of it all has started to kick in for me which reflects in this haul because I have some very exciting Christmas books to share with you. The C word aside with all the time that's passed it is entirely possible that I'm missing some books out. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is the case but I can't for the life of me remember what I've left out. Alas, these are the books that I REMEMBER acquiring over the past month. Let us begin.

 For Review

Panic by Lauren Oliver (Proof Copy)
A thousand happy dances for your new book Ms Oliver! I seriously want to read it RIGHT THIS SECOND however it's not out until March and so I'm going to try and resist until at least January. Maybe.
Crash into You by Katie McGarry (ARC)
Oh, Isaiah. I just want you to be happy! I need you to be happy in this book or else me and you are going to have words young man. WORDS! *Stares at book in a firm manner*
Impostor by Susanne Winnacker (Proof Copy)
I had no idea that this one was being published in the UK and had the US version on my wishlist and so when the publisher asked me if I wanted a review copy I was all "hell yeah!" and now I have one, and now I have to wait until January to read it because yeah, again, 2014 titles *sighs.*
The Dark Inside by Rupert Wallis (Proof Copy)
Another 2014 title that is going to be sitting staring at me on my shelf until next year. I'll put my hands up and say that I don't know too much about this one but I do know that the publishers are pretty excited about it and that Rupert's writing has been compared to the beauty that is Patrick Ness' so I have high hopes!

 More For Review...

A Gift to Remember by Melissa Hill
And here we start with the pretty Christmas books! And what better book to start with than with Melissa Hill and her story of Christmas and Books and New York and Bookshops? This sounds like my dream story and I love Melissa Hill so I'm hugely looking forward to reading this one next month!
Calling Mrs Christmas by Carole Matthews
Another Christmas book, another gorgeous cover! I read my first Carole Matthews this summer and really enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to trying out another one of her books. This one is about an unemployed woman who sets up her own Christmas business for wrapping presents, writing cards, decorating trees and the like. Sounds like a festive treat!
It Felt Like a Kiss by Sarra Manning (Proof Copy)
I'm a huge fan of Sarra's YA Contemporary books but have yet to read one of her Chick-lit novels so I'm really excited to give 'It Felt Like a Kiss' a go. Although this is another 2014 proof copy that I want to read NOW but which I'm going to have to save until January. Also the cover is GORGEOUS!
Finding It by Cora Carmack
This is irksome because I REALLY want to start this series and have been sent the first and now the third book for review BUT I HAS NO SECOND BOOK!!! Looks like this series is going to have to wait until I can hunt me down a copy of Faking It.

 Bought/Gifted

Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe by Jenny Colgan
Ellie! Ellie! I found it! Ellie found this one in her The Works a couple of weeks ago and I was mega jealous because I love me some Jenny Colgan and I couldn't find one in my store! Then I was in there on Tuesday and found this ONE copy and I snatched it up and hugged it tight. Okay, so I haven't actually read the first Cupcake Cafe book yet - but I own it! And I love Jenny Colgan! And this hardback was only £2.99 when the new paperback is more expensive and so it just made sense for me to buy it.
Sweetly by Jackson Pearce
Whilst I was in The Works I found this copy of Sweetly. I have a proof copy and was mulling over replacing it for the bargain £1.99 that the paperback was. The big deal breaker was when I noticed whilst I was flicking through it that I had been quoted inside! I didn't know this! Of course I couldn't leave without a copy after that.
Ashfall by Mike Mullin
I have had my eye on this one for years and so was really eager to see what Ellie thought when she was reading it to determine whether it should go on or off my wishlist for good. Turns out she loved it (check out her review here) and very kindly sent me her copy. I think this might make a good Halloween read so it's on the pile and I'm hoping to get around to it.
The Killing Woods by Lucy Christopher (Proof Copy)
I have a confession. I wasn't the biggest fan of Stolen *ducks and hides.* Still, this one sounded really interesting to me and like it would make a good Halloween read. I think I might have read somewhere that it deals with PTSD as well which has piked my interest further as I've been diagnosed with that myself. Anyway I wanted to read it but was reluctant to actually buy a copy and so my day was made when the lovely Amber sent me her proof copy! I'm hoping that I'll get around to this one for Halloween and that I'll enjoy it more than I did Stolen.

That's all from me! And I apologise for the rather long ramblyness of this post. If you read it all and didn't skim read then a big "Aww shucks!" and a hearty hug to you. Needless to say it looks like there will be some brilliant reading in store for me! As always thank you to the lovely publishing folk for the review copies. If you decided to do a Letterbox Love, Book Haul, IMM, Showcase Sunday, Mailbox Monday or whatever else featuring the books you got this week leave me a link as I’d love to check out your books too! ^_^

 Happy reading till next time!

Letterbox Love (33)

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

 Proof Copies for Review

World After by Susan Ee
This was a total surprise from the publishers and I'm so excited! I read and loved Angelfall earlier this year and I can't wait to read this!
This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales
I have heard literally nothing but good things for this book and it will be Leila Sales' debut here in the UK. I've heard great things for all of her books and can't wait to check her out as an author.
Perfect Ruin by Lauren DeStefano
I'm a big fan of Lauren's The Chemical Garden trilogy and so when I got this in the post I had to read it straight away. This new world is incredible! I've finished it and I'll have a review up soon so keep an eye out for that.
The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Jennifer has so many interesting sounding books out but I haven't picked one up yet! The Naturals sounds very Ally Carter like so I'm going to have to check this one out!

 For Review/ Bought

Because it is My Blood by Gabrielle Zevin
Finally! I'm so happy that this sequel has finally been published in the UK but it's been so long since I read the first book that I can't remember what happened at all. I might have to re-read if I have time or talk nicely to the Recaptains! ;)
Haze by Paula Weston
I really like this Aussie Angel series. I read the first book in January this year so everything is still pretty fresh and I'm looking forward to picking this up soon.
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
I've read and loved Fangirl and Eleanor and Park. I didn't own Attachments. I had to buy it right? I want to read this before the year is over in between review books. 2013 has been full of Rainbow!
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
I read and liked the first book in this series but I wasn't crazy about it like some people seem to be. I've heard people say they enjoyed this sequel even more so I decided to buy it. I think I'll be adding this to my Halloween TBR.

 Netgalley/Edelweiss E-Books
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
This is a 2014 release being pitched as Graceling meets Beauty and the Beast. It sounds awesome and like something I would love!
Model Misfit by Holly Smale
Geek Girl was such a cute and fun read and I'm really looking forward to this sequel.
Covet by Tracey Garvis-Graves
On The Island was a book that I was absolutely addicted to. I can't wait to read this new book from Tracey!

As always thank you to the lovely publishing folk for the review copies. If you decided to do a Letterbox Love, Book Haul, IMM, Showcase Sunday, Mailbox Monday or whatever else featuring the books you got this week leave me a link as I’d love to check out your books too! ^_^

How to Love by Katie Cotugno
I hadn't heard of this one when it dropped through my letterbox but after reading the synopsis I was immediately excited! My Goodreads friends that have read it have all loved it so far so I'm very excited for this debut!
Amelia Grey's Fireside Dream by Abby Clements
I've read both of Abby's novels and have enjoyed them so I'm looking forward to this Autumn read! This sounds like the perfect book for getting cosy by the fire with as the nights start drawing in.
The Elites by Natasha Ngan (Proof Copy)
This is a debut that I have heard so much about! I've been looking forward to this one since early summer when I first heard about it and will be getting stuck in soon.
Goodbye, Rebel Blue by Shelley Coriell (Proof Copy)
I have a bit of a fascination with bucket lists. I think they can tell you so much about a person and what's important to them, so when I was asked if I wanted to review this one I jumped at the chance!
Fearsome Dreamer by Laure Eve (Proof Copy)
My friend Cait has been telling me how good this one is and I think it sounds incredible! I love the synopsis for this one and will be reading it very soon. It's another very exciting sounding debut!

 Bought/ Gifted

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
YESSSSSS!!! New Rainbow Rowell come to Mamma! I had this one on pre-order
1.) Because I love Eleanor and Park.
2.) Because this book sounds like my life.
I've been so excited for Fangirl and I'm so thrilled to finally have a copy!
Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay
Beauty and the Beast is my favourite fairytale and so when I saw this reviewed on Sam's blog I knew I had to have it and it's been sitting waiting on my wishlist patiently and I finally decided to treat myself to it! Huge thank you to Sam for bringing this one to my attention! Check out the review here.
Deception by C. J. Redwine
This is another book that I had on pre-order. I read the first book last year and loved it! Definitely a must read for fans of Shadow and Bone and Throne of Glass!
The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (AKA J.K. Rowling)
I love HP and I love The Casual Vacancy. I've only just got around to buying this one because for a long time I thought that somebody was tricking me and that someone would pop out and be like "Just kidding! J.K doesn't have a new book out! You crazy fool!" I've since accepted that this is legit so I finally bought it. I think I'm going to add this to my October TBR for some Halloween Crime reading.
Arclight by Josin L. McQuein
This was gifted to me by the lovely Raimy! The cover for this one is so pretty and I really love the sound of it so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in! Thanks Raimy!

Letterbox Love (31) A Quick Catch-Up!

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

So I've been MIA from the blog this past week because I had a bout of terrible insomnia and was just so exhausted all of the time and hardly read anything. I go through phases like this every so often and fingers crossed I seem to be coming out the other end of this one now. It's *so* nice to be able to sleep again! Only now I have a lot of blogging and reading to catch up on! I received quite a few review books whilst I was away and I also took a trip to London to attend a press conference with the cast of City of Bones which the publishers very kindly invited me to - it was awesome! Needless to say I did some book shopping in Foyles (one of my favourite book shops in the world!) I can never resist! Especially their cheap US imports...

I have a lot of books and e-books to get through so this will just be a quick catch up meaning I won't go into as much detail as I usually would about the books. If I did that would take me a while and this post would be huge and nobody would want to read it. So this will be short and sweet - I hope that's okay! As always I'll link each title up to Goodreads in case you'd like to find out more. Now, on to the books! :)

Letterbox Love (30)

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

So I haven't quite made it to a month like last time and I might have fallen off the wagon a tiny bit in regards to accepting review copies. But you guys! This month pretty much ALL OF THE BOOKS are being released, right? And thirteen books in just under a month isn't terrible is it? Terrible or not my TBR pile has shot up again however I may be moving into a bigger room in a couple of months and that means more room for bookshelves! So overall I'm not feeling too bad about this haul...

 For Review

City of Bones: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion by Mimi O'Connor
Shadowhunter's Guide: City of Bones by Mimi O'Connor
As a huge Mortal Instruments fan and with the offer to receive these early to get a cheeky glimpse of the film before it's out I'd have been crazy to say no, right? I've already had a flick through both of these and I'm now more excited than ever for the film to be released!
Little White Lies by Katie Dale
I loved Katie's debut novel and I love a good thriller so I'm looking forward to reading this one.
Severed Heads, Broken Hearts by Robyn Schneider
This is being pitched as being perfect for fans of John Green so I was all over this one. I'm also going to be taking part in the UK blog tour this month so be on the look out for that!

Angel Fever by L.A. Weatherly
I did a little happy dance when this arrived. I LOVE this series and it's the last book! I've been mentally preparing myself for the end of this series and will be getting stuck into this soon.
Soul Storm by Kate Harrison
I read and loved the first book in this series a couple of years ago but sadly didn't get around to reading the sequel last year because of my stupid whooping cough, now this final book is out I'm hoping to tackle both this summer and complete this series.
Linked by Imogen Howson
I don't know too much about this one but the synopsis sounds pretty good so I'm intrigued. Will be looking out for some reviews before I pick this one up.
Killer Queens by Rebecca Chance
I already read and loved this one! Rebecca's books are such guilty pleasures of mine and this one has to be my favourite so far. I'll have a review up soon.

Teardrop by Lauren Kate (Proof Copy)
This one was a total surprise and was another one I did a little happy dance for! I really enjoyed Lauren Kate's Fallen series and the premise of this one sounds very unique and different so I'm looking forward to reading it soon!
Cruel Summer by James Dawson
So I might have read this all in one go yesterday - it was that good! I'm still gathering my thoughts on this one but it's definitely one of my favourite reads of the summer!
It's Raining Men by Milly Johnson
I love a bit of Milly Johnson! She's one of my favourite chick-lit authors and I can't wait to read her latest!
The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black (Proof Copy)
I was one of the lucky few to receive an early proof copy of this one so I'll definitely be reading it soon! I've never read anything by Holly before but I've heard so many wonderful things about her books that I'm excited to check this out.
Breathe by Abbi Glines
Okay, so I recently read Abbi's Fallen Too Far and didn't get along with it (review to come soon) but I've heard so many good things about her books that I'm willing to give one of her other series a try. I'm just hoping that the same problems I had don't crop up and that I enjoy this one!

These are all of the lovely new books that found themselves a new home on my shelves over the past few weeks. If any of these books have caught your eye and you’d like to find out more about them simply click on the title and the link will take you to Goodreads for a full synopsis, reviews, and to add them to your wishlists. Letterbox Love (29)

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

So it's been almost a month since I last did one of these posts and that is simply because I haven't been requesting or buying as many books lately. The MAHOOSIVE pile of books by my bed actually fell down on top of me so I had to make the tough call of getting rid of some books. Basically I'm running out of places to put my books and so I'm trying to read what I've got and get my TBR down a bit. Although it's been a month I still only have 9 books to share with you - that is how good I've been! I used to get that in a week! Never mind a month! I'm pretty chuffed with myself. It's also very satisfying watching my TBR pile dwindle down. These Letterbox Love posts may be few and far between for a while whilst I continue to tackle Mount TBR. Instead I'll be saving the few books I do get and doing a Letterbox Love every few weeks when I have a good number to show you.

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas (For Review, Proof Copy)
Oh, yeah! I loved Throne of Glass and will be getting to this sequel this month, hopefully. The cover is awesome and it isn't even a finished copy! *Pets book and does a happy dance.*
Antigoddess by Kendare Blake (Review Copy)
Another exciting book! I loved Anna Dressed in Blood and am excited to read Kendare's new series.
Memory by Christoph Marzi (Review Copy)
I can't remember too much about this one (which is ironic given the title!) but I've heard good things about Christoph's books so I'm looking forward to giving this one a go.
Out of Breath by Rebecca Donovan (Review Copy)
I still have to start this series but now that I have all three books now is the perfect time, right?
Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines (Review Copy)
I have yet to read anything by Abbi but I love the sound of this series and want to start it this summer.
Carnaby by Cate Sampson (Review Copy)
I'm pretty sure this is a murder mystery/ thriller. I haven't heard very much about this one yet but the synopsis sounds interesting.

Book Geek tote bag which Mira Ink very kindly sent me! I love it! Perfect for book shopping!
Fathomless by Jackson Pearce (Review Copy)
I love Jackson's books and this is a re-telling of The Little Mermaid which is one of my favourite fairytales! This will make a great summer read.
Truly, Madly, Deadly by Hannah Schwartz (Bought)
You guys! This book sounds awesome! I haven't seen it around but the synopsis sounds great so I had to get it. If you like Contemporary YA Thrillers this one needs to be on your radar!
Shipwrecked by Siobhan Curham (Bought)
Another YA Thriller that's pitched as Lost meets Gossip Girl both of which I have been obsessed with at some point or another. I'm really into my summer thrillers lately so I just had to get me a copy of this one!

*** My quote in Fathomless ***
The awesome Casey from Dark Readers sent me a tweet letting me know I was quoted in Fathomless! This is the 5th book I've been quoted in this year and it's always so exciting and a little unbelievable, there I am underneath the authors of Beautiful Creatures. I mean... WHAT!?!? Is this real life!?

These are all of the lovely new books that found themselves a new home on my shelves over the past few weeks. If any of these books have caught your eye and you’d like to find out more about them simply click on the title and the link will take you to Goodreads for a full synopsis, reviews, and to add them to your wishlists. Letterbox Love (28)

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

 For Review

Wool and Shift by Hugh Howey
The reviews for this adult dystopian series have been extraordinary! And the publishers offered to send me this series after we were having a chat on Twitter about our favourite debuts of the year - this was one of the publicists favourites!
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
Beautiful finished copy of this as a thank you from the publisher for taking part in the blog tour. I was also thrilled to discover my review has been quoted inside! I have an amazing giveaway for this book and more in a Grisha goody pack on the blog right now click here to enter!
The Sound by Sarah Alderson
I love Sarah's books and I love myself a thriller so this one sounds right up my street!

*** My quote in Siege and Storm! ***

The Night Itself by Zoe Marriott (Proof Copy)
This is my current read and my first Zoe Marriott! Really enjoying this so far, it's like nothing I've ever read before! Loving the Japanese mythology!
Ink by Amanda Sun
Another book based on Japanese myth! I sense this could be a new hot trend in YA. This has a stunning cover and seems as I'm enjoying The Night Itself so much I can't wait to get stuck into this one.
Insignia and Vortex by S. J. Kincaid
I've heard amazing things about this series! Veronica Roth - author of Divergent is blurbed inside! I'm excited to see what all the fuss is about and jump on the bandwagon.

The Runaway Princess by Hester Browne
I'm in love with the cover for this book! It's so pretty and vintage looking. I hadn't heard of this when it arrived but after looking into it I'm very excited to give it a try!
Me and Mr Jones by Lucy Diamond
I read my first Lucy Diamond last summer and really enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to another summery read from her!
Oh Dear Silvia by Dawn French
I love Dawn French and have wanted to try one of her books for a while now so when the publishers offered me a copy for review I snatched it up!
Brooklyn Girls by Gemma Burgess
I've heard good things for this New Adult book. I have to say I'm not crazy about our UK paperback cover change though and the text inside is tiny which is always off putting for me. I guess I'll give it a go and if I'm not getting on with the font and am enjoying it I'll buy it on Kindle. It'd be a shame not to read it because it sounds pretty good!

 On My Kindle
Time After Time by Tamara Ireland Stone
Faking It by Cora Carmack
Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

This weeks e-book haul is full of sequels I am desperate to read! The only one I haven't read yet is Losing It so I'll have to get to that soon so then I can read Faking It!

These are all of the lovely new books that found themselves a new home on my shelves over the past few weeks. If any of these books have caught your eye and you’d like to find out more about them simply click on the title and the link will take you to Goodreads for a full synopsis, reviews, and to add them to your wishlists. Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

First of all HUGE sorries for being MIA on the blog for so long with no explanation or warning. May was an awful month for my family, we've had a really tough time. I don't want to go into it all on here as I'm looking at June as a fresh start and if I start talking about it it'll all come flooding back and I'm likely to crawl back into my hole of sadness again. If you follow me on Twitter you guys probably already know anyway...BUT! I'm back now and I'm looking forward to throwing myself into blogging again and to kick start June off I wanted to catch you all up on the lovely new books that have made their way into my home while I've been away.

This looks like a really unique contemporary and I'm really looking forward to reading it.
Taking Chances by Molly McAdams
From Ashes by Molly McAdams
I've heard really mixed things about this series. People either seem to love it or hate it! The overall rating on Goodreads is very good though so I'm eager to give them a read and I'm hoping I'll enjoy them.

Doll Bones by Holly Black
I don't usually read middle grade books but have been known to make an exception when a book sounds really good and this one sounds really good! A doll made up of the bones of a murdered girl? Sounds creepy!
Dare You To by Katie McGarry
I'm a HUGE fan of McGarry's Pushing the Limits so I was thrilled to receive this one and even more thrilled when I opened it up to find out I had been quoted inside!
AKA: Spy Society by Robin Benway
Robin Benway's Audrey, Wait! Is one of my favourite books of all time so I'm very excited to read this new one from her especially with it being about spies.
Quicksilver by R.J. Anderson
I've been waiting for this sequel to Ultraviolet for years! I'm so chuffed to finally have a copy. Although, it's been so long since I read the first book that I think a re-read is in order before I pick up this one.

My Quote in Dare You To

This is the third time I've been quoted in a book now but it's still just as exciting to get chosen as it was the first time. Especially when it's for a book you really love!

Letterbox Love (25) Books From The Past Two Weeks!

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

So last week I only received three books and I really wanted to do a vlog for you guys so I decided to hold off and group them together with this weeks books and this week I received a LOT of books so this vlog is kind of lengthy! I had a lot of footage and had to edit a lot of it out so the haul is choppy in places. I’m not the best at editing and am still learning so although this isn’t the best vlog ever I hope you enjoy watching it anyway, I got some really exciting books over the past two weeks!

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

 For Review (Proof Copies)

The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa
I LOVED The Immortal Rules so I'm really excited to read this one!
Angelfall by Susan Ee
This book arrived so beautifully packaged and is another e-book self published sensation that's been picked up for publishing. This moulds two of my favourite genre's together Angels and Dystopian. It's taking everything I have not to dive into it right this second!
Noble Conflict by Malorie Blackman
I believe this is a new dystopian series from Malorie Blackman. I don't know too much about it, but from what I have heard I'm pretty excited.
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
I did a happy dance or two when this one arrived this week. The 5th Wave has been getting some phenomenal praise already and I'll definitely be getting around to it very soon. I believe this is about an alien apocalypse.
Two for Joy by Helen Chandler
Another one I haven't heard too much about, but the synopsis sounds good so I'm looking forward to reading it.
Love is a Thief by Claire Garber
Another book I'm HUGELY excited about. This sounds like nothing I've ever read before. It's about the girl who doesn't get the big love, the family, the happy ending. It's a book about self discovery and taking back the opportunities love has stolen from you. I really urge you all to check out this one. I can't wait to read it!

Because of Low by Abbi Glines
While it Lasts by Abbi Glines
Just for Now by Abbi Glines
Really excited that this series is being published in the UK! I have yet to read anything by Abbi Glines but I'm a huge fan of the New Adult genre and can't wait to get started on these.
Getting Over Garrett Delaney by Abby McDonald
This book has been on my wishlist for such a long time so I was thrilled to find out it's being published in the UK. It sounds like a cute contemporary about a girl trying to get over her crush on her best friend.
ACID by Emma Pass
So many bloggers seem to be reading and loving this right now that it's making me really eager to start it soon. This sounds like a brilliant British dystopian, and is another one I can't wait to read.
The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan
I believe this is based on Gargoyle mythology. It sounds very different and I'm looking forward to reading it.

 Bought

The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth
This sounds like a really good coming of age contemporary about a girl coming to terms with her sexuality in a conservative old fashioned family. One I look forward to reading this summer!
In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters
I have heard incredible things about this book so I finally caved and bought myself a copy. It sounds incredibly creepy and there are photographs! Hugely excited to get to this one.
The Sweetness of Forgetting by Kristin Harmel
Foodie chick-lit set in Paris with family history. This sounds like such a 'Jess book'!
A Cottage by the Sea by Carole Matthews
I have yet to read anything by Carole Matthews despite her being really big on the chick-lit scene. This looks like a gorgeous summery read which'll provide some much needed escapism from the rubbish spring we're having in the UK!
The Rising by Kelley Armstrong
I really love this series and this is the last book! I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

Dear Thing by Julie Cohen (Proof Copy)

I did a little happy jig when I received this one this week! I adored Tanya's debut Heart-Shaped Bruise so I can't wait to read this!

This sounds pretty intriguing. When I'm in the mood for a good thriller I'll be reaching for this!
Don't Look Back by S.B. Hayes
To be honest I haven't heard anything about this book and don't really know what it's about so I'll be keeping my eye out for some reviews before picking this one up to see if it'll be my sort of thing.

I decided to treat myself this week! I had a 10% off voucher for The Book Depository so I decided to use it while the offer lasted to some books that were at the top of my wishlist! I also had Clockwork Princess on pre-order from Amazon and have already read it. In a word it was phenomenal and I'm going to have a spoiler review/discussion of it going up on the blog next week. Needless to say I'm excited about all of these but Eleanor and Park and Let the Sky Fall in particular!

The Reece Malcolm List by Amy Spalding
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Letterbox Love (22)

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking for UK based book bloggers to showcase the books that they’ve received each week.

 Proof Copies for Review

If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch
The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult
The Accidental Husband by Jane Green

I've not heard much about the Jane Green but I've enjoyed some of her other books well enough so I'm looking forward to getting to it. I've been hearing some AMAZING things for If You Find Me from across the pond and can't wait to see what the fuss is all about. I'm a huge fan of Jodi Picoult's books so The Storyteller brought many squeals of joy on its arrival. This one sounds like such an impossible situation and I've heard whispers that it's her best yet so I can't wait to delve into it soon and I'm such a fan of the cover!

For Review

The Loveliest Chocolate Shop in Paris by Jenny Colgan
Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger
 Losing It by Cora Carmack

Why hello there new Jenny Colgan all pretty with your purple and gold cover tempting me with a story of chocolate and Paris. I'm reading this right now and loving it! The bestie has read Etiquette and Espionage and has been raving about it so I'm pretty excited to check it out. And yay! For some more New Adult with Losing It.

 Bought/Won

Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
Boundless by Cynthia Hand
The Bunker Diary by Kevin Brooks
My Mad Fat Diary by Rae Earl (Won)

My pretty, shiny, US hardcovers of Hallowed and Boundless arrived this week so I can now continue on with this series, huzzah! I fell pretty hard for the first book Unearthly and can't wait to read these two. I also feel immensely satisfied that the whole series matches, it's a rare thing these days for a series to reach the end without a cover change. I might have fell into Waterstones whilst I was out shopping for Mother's Day pressies and couldn't leave without picking up a copy of The Bunker Diary after seeing it around the blogs lately. AND a copy of My Mad Fat Diary arrived this week which I won from the publishers. I absolutely loved the TV show so I'm looking forward to reading the book, I had a sneaky read of the first page and it's already made me laugh!

 Bookmark Pretties!

Being the bookmark fiend that I am when Dani @ Pen to Paper tweeted about these Gorjuss Bookmarks this week I went straight online and hunted myself a couple down. These two were my favourite but they are all so cute that I can see myself collecting them all! I know, I know, I don't need any more bookmarks but you guys! LOOK HOW PRETTY THEY ARE!

 E-Books
Butter by Erin Lange (For Review)
Radiant by Cynthia Hand
The Prince by Kiera Cass

Butter sounds pretty hard hitting and incredible. It's about a boy who's going to eat himself to death, literally, on purpose. I did a little happy dance when I got approved for this on Netgalley. I also downloaded some Novellas. Radiant - to go with the Unearthly series mentioned above. I recently read The Selection and found it a cute read so I'm looking forward to reading The Prince before The Elite comes out.

That’s it from me for another week!
